This was what I tried first. A little bland. Hmmm...
Welcome to New Mexico
All it needs is a pegasus.
I kind of like it, but not sure what it's saying.
Odd.
Better, but...not quite.
Bingo.
It'll need some tweaking but this is where I'm going.
Black Rock Stitchery update: 146 blocks! My grandma Mary Ann is even participating! And I am learning all about sewing with fun fur.

Great choice!! I have to agree that the second one does look like New Mexico - lol!
So glad to hear you are getting a good amount of blocks for the Black Rock Stitchery :)
Great to see all the options you tossed about. Love your choice it's like the evolution of your monochromatic quilt.
What a really neat quilt!! I really like what you've got going there....
Oh wow! That layout looks fabulous! I can't wait to see it come together!
I saw DNA strands in the one you labeled odd. So there, you were right! This is really interesting and fun. I like watching your creative process in action.
Design Walls are great!
great colors and thoughtful designs. the first and the last are my favorites. (that's usually how it is with my own designs, too)
I think taking pictures of all the options we come up with on the design wall (or floor in my case) is so helpful. Somehow seeing things through the viewfinder changes the perspective. Plus the documentation is great. Thank you for sharing your process!
YES.

Congratulations
have a good day
