We tried fabric and needle, but...OUCH! So we got new supplies.
Permathreaded a yarn needle with yarn.
And let her sew her "spiderwebs".
Seeing that needle in her little toddler fingers just melts my heart.

As a elementary teacher - I applaud you. Continue to help our children to sew. They are our future quilters.
Aww this is so sweet! I remember my plastic canvas days. When my own DD wanted to sew she wanted to sew on the sewing machine so I put the foot petal on the table so it can be worked by hand and let her sew all over a big scrap of fabric, we've worked our way up, at 5 she made her own doll pj's with help.
