These are facts
- For 80% of my evening posts I finally hit the "Publish Post" button because the toddler has woken up and started crying.
- I have 52 bobbins for my Bernina.
- The Bernina's problem has reportedly been fixed and this time I was charged $0.
- Part of me wants to plan out a totally handmade holiday and the rest of me remembers that when I do that my family has this look on their faces like they wished they got something in a blister pack from Costco instead of my pancake mix/vanilla extract/soup-in-a-bag/handmade wallet or whatever. Not feeling the motivation this year. iTunes cards for everyone. You're welcome.
- Last weekend I had a fever and fatigue and other odd symptoms. My revolving diagnoses for myself included: kidney infection, lymphoma, pericarditis, liver cancer, Epstein Barr virus and pulmonary embolism.
- As I'm sure you realize, I am a hypochondriac. I did not have any of those things and I was all better for work on Monday.
- Speaking of work, that's where my phone is; in my lab coat pocket. With pictures of all my sketches from this week's quilt along on it.
- With nothing to show for this week's quilt along I officially declare it catch up week!
- Until this June I had no idea what "following" or "subscribing" to a blog was or how to get your comments emailed to you.
- I took my projects to Saturday's PMQG sewing night in an aluminum turkey pan.
- A woman named Shruti is planning to donate 42 small quilts (about 32" square) for an orphanage in India. Sounds like a great way to practice some free motion skills! Can you help?

I will look at that link, but I am not sure I am good enough, but then maybe that's not the point.

Love todays posting - so straight from your thinking:) Will check out the link. CIao
You have a serious bobbin collection! I think I need more - I only have about 10!
I so understand the "my family has this look on their faces like they wished they got something in a blister pack from Costco instead of my handmade whatever"
Yeah, I have had that look too.. Fortunately not in a number of years. People finally started WANTING what I make.
I've had fairly lackluster responses to my handmade holiday gifts too; I don't have a Grand Plan yet for this year, probably I should get crackin' on that! Last year I did crochet dishcloths/washcloths and homemade vanilla extract - the extract went over way better than the cloths! Thanks for the link, I hope Shruti meets her goal.
I've had that "what to make for Christmas" thought too. I like the ease of iTunes cards too. And then just to complicate my life a little further, I think, "What can I make to put it in?" LOL.
Thank you so much for giving me a push here!!! I appreciate your efforst...
Great post. Very refreshing! I needed a little break.
I used to try to make Christmas gifts for family, but I've never seen the quilts or tablerunners or anything that I made for any of them. Did they relegate them to the dog?? Hummmm........ they don't have dogs.
great post! It was just so much fun to read.........
You're so funny!! I love the pics by the way. That's a bummer about the home-made gifts not being appreciated...that's the reason I've never really done it full on but it would be cool if everyone made stuff or had a small max. spending limit. I'm making a photo calendar on vista print with family pics, that's as home-made as I'll get this year. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better! P.S. kudos on the carrot cakes!
Love it! :-)
What you just posted is real life! Thank you for the great pics and I'm glad that this is a catch-up week.
Take good care of yourself! Give us a catch-up week whenever you feel the need!
Your poor sewing machine! I do hope it is better after all of that!
You made me laugh, sounds like you need a fun weekend.
Debbie
very nice!
Thanks for the helping hand!

Since I am just learning FMQ - do you have an opinion on turning your sewing machine sideways & FMQing like a longarm machine?
I like this post, it made me laugh multiple times and that is nice. BTW you rock!
