Today I'm happy to share my segment on the brand new show, Fresh Quilting. They asked me to talk about choosing quilting designs and I think the episode turned out great. And I'm blushing that they made me the very first segment of the very first show! It's like I launched the series! Where's the bottle of champagne to smash against...my computer? Never mind. No smashing. We'll drink it instead.
This show is airing on PBS in several locations, and over the next few months it will get filtered into the lineup in other areas as well, so take a look at your local listings! If it's not in your area yet you can see a new episode each week at freshquilting.com. Or search Fresh Quilting on YouTube to find the segments they've posted! I've got another one coming up and I can't wait to share that one too!
To everyone who said hi or shared a moment at QuiltCon, thank you for filling my cup, it was exactly what I needed to feel back in my quilter-shoes.

Spotted you at quiltcon, but didn't want to interupt. Thanks for inspriring me as a quilter! Your books have improved my quilting. Best of luck to you in your new venture.
So lovely to see you in my blog reader today. Cheers for your pretty smile and to hear you are filling up your creative cup.
Glad you had a great time at QuiltCon Christina! Loved watching your segment on the show.... your quilting is always so inspirational! Christine x
great video. I tend to rush in and start quilting, and then rip out bad designs. much smarter to practice on paper first.
What a fun exciting time for you!! Just watched your video-you are such a natural on camera, Yeah for you!
Loved your video - watched it last night! I so need to take a class with you. Maybe next year in Pasedena ???
It is a pity that I live in other country. So there is a wish to visit at you study
You did a great job on this. You have a naturalness in front of the camera that I admire.
WOW! What a great video. I don't believe you were nervous at all, and the tips and techniques you shared are fabulous. I am going to share this to my friends on my blog, and will be using them myself as I become more comfortable with FMQ. I know I need to just DO IT! Thank you for encouraging us scaredy cats. ~smile~
You wear those quilter shoes well! Don't ever take them off : )
Oh, I was so excited to see your post come up in my feed this morning, and then totally shocked to see that you mentioned me! I had so much fun at QuiltCon and I agree with you, quilters are wonderful! Even the rockstars (yes, YOU!) are sweet and kind and friendly!!! Congrats on the FreshQuilting episode, and of course they put you first! YOU ROCK!!
Congratulations on kicking off the new series! You always inspire me. (On the plane on the way to QuiltCon, the person sitting next to me was reading one of your books and looking forward to taking your workshop.) Being surrounded by so much positive energy is my favorite part of QuiltCon!
Thank you for sharing your video with us. I would love to know what brand of quilting foot you are using? Happy to receive your blog posts again
Thanks for the great tips on the video! Very helpful and inspiring! Love how you emphasize what the quilts are "saying"! Great thought!
Loved your mini class Choosing Quilting Designs on Fresh Quilting!. It was very helpful to me. What was especially helpful was how you emphasized how to draw attention to specific details on your quilt.
Well looks like that comment went into the ether, so I will try again. This has so many ideas for both longtime and new quilters! Yay that you are the headliner for the new show. Thank you for the reminder to look to fabrics for inspiration for quilting motifs; I got one from the cover of a book I recently read! So happy to hear your voice, see you in action rather than just read your words on your blog, or in your book ;-) and look at photos. :-)
Glad you had a good time! Wish QuiltCon would come back to Austin! Loved your show!
great tips...thanks for sharing...
